We had a great time at Lake Powell. Jen and her kids, Mel and her fam, Whit and Cim all came. We had tons of food(even though I couldn't eat most of it),loved watching everybody eat rootbeer floats, chips, candy, Halls Marina foot tall icecream cones. Talk about will power. I lost two pounds while we were there. Thats never happened before, and probably won't happen ever again.
We had sunny skies, warm water, a little wind, and no accidents. Can't
ask for anything better.

Great News

We went to the Orthopedic surgeon today. Good news Michael only has a broken fibula and tissue damage in his knee and leg. We went to St. George for Brooklyns blessing, which was so nice. She is such a beautiful little girl. After the blessing we stopped to get some ice cream for lunch. I know you are thinking "shouldn't shop on Sunday" and you are right. Mike was putting groceries in the back of the car and a lady plowed into him, pinning him between the two cars. It was so awful. She just sat there and we were yelling at her to back up. She finally did. We loaded him into the car and drove crossed the street to the hospital. They did a x-ray gave him drugs and sent him home. Four days later he finally got treatment. I'm exhausted dealing with medical people and insurances. No one listens and no one wants to pay for anything. We are just grateful that he doesn't need surgery, since he has a new condo to make payments on and can't miss work. Hope next week brings happy days!!

I guess I am not cut out for blogging. I get too far behind and don't have any cool pictures to make things interesting.
Since my last blog two months ago, we have had two new granddaughters, been to Hawaii twice, had a son get married, and have a college graduate.
Mike got married in Nov. It was a beautiful wedding and he is very happy. We went to Hawaii in Dec. for Whitneys graduation. It was wonderful, even though it rained and flooded the whole time. We are so proud of her. She is very bored at home, after living the college life.
We went to Maui in Jan. We took Jason and his family, and had a great time. We mostly just relaxed. We went on a whale watch trip. This is my favorite thing to do in Hawaii. We saw several, including babies. Jason went diving. It was to rough to snorkel. The kids just loved to play at the pool and the beach. We ate a ton.
Now we can just settle down and enjoy the real life of working and cleaning. Oh yeah!!!

Boring, I hope.

David had back surgery on Friday. I brought him home today. He did well and hopefully this fixed him so he can function again. It is more painful this time because he had three disks worked on. The Dr. didn't fuse it which is good, if he can be a good boy and not lift or bend for a while.

Jenny and the kids went home today. We had a good time while they were here. We stayed up too late every night.It will take me a week to catch up on my sleep.

Whit gets her wisdom teeth out tomorrow. I will have two invalids to take care of.
Mel and Angies babies are due any time. I have two quilts to finish. I hope they give me a few more days.
After this busy month I hope we can just relax for a week before we load up and go to Hawaii for Whitneys graduation. then two babies and Christmas. I look forward to some boring days.

Jenny and her kids and Mel and her family spent the weekend here. It was great.
We went to the zoo (no pics. I forgot to take my camera). We had a party for Laken at Chucky Cheese,(not too bad, their food has improved a ton). We had a party for Aaron, and carved pumpkins. Alot to cram into one weeked. We had a housefull but I loved it. I miss them so much since they all moved to St. George.

I had surgery on my foot last week. Sorry, no pictures. I looked at it last night when Michael changed the bandage. Gross, black and blue, holes all over the bottom of my heal, and plenty of stitches on my toe, back of my heal and on the side of my foot. I'm getting better on the crutches, only fell once. I'm done with the pain pills, although they are great for getting to sleep.

I'm supposed to start working at the new quilt store in Highland tomorrow. I'm not sure what I can do on crutches, but I'm going to try. No one will work for me. I think it will be a cute store, when its all put together. The cash register is a computer,,,,great all I know how to do is play games and blog. I hope I can get the hang of it. Its hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

We Survived Lake Powell

Last week was our anual Lake Powell trip. No big family feuds, only had to reanchor twice, no broken bones, and no boat damage. We had a great time. We ate alot, swam alot, (to stay cool) played games, and watched teenage girls flirt.
Good times. I love my family.
